After-bloom care for A. bulbifer

Should I pinch off or cut off the growth, or will it eventually totally dry up and separate? If I should remove it, should I do it right at the top of the tuber? Also, I want to repot these corms -- is now the right time, or should I wait longer? When the leaf begins to turn yellow stop watering, let the soil dry out. When tolally dry, turn the pot out, retreive the tuber, and store in p/bag or panty-hose in a cool place w/ a little fungicide. Re-pot in late spring when all threats of frost are passed.
