Troy has been out in the wild for a couple of months collecting plants. As
for the site, I don't know. I will try and contact his wife and let her
know the site is down.

Along these same lines, does anyone know who runs or supports
www.ecuagenera.com. It's been down for a while also.

Ron Kauffman.

Exotic Seeds of Costa Rica has been down a few months. I wonder what
happened with them. A trend?

Hi Tom et al.,

Ecuagenera's web site problems are related to a problem with their
ISP. I've been in contact with the Ecuagenerians, and they're trying
to resolve the issue.

I sent an email and received an auto-reply. I guess Izumi doesn't answer
his emails when he is away.
He has been gone longer than ever before....longer than I can remember. I
will let you all know if I hear from anyone.

A couple of weeks ago I was notified by Troy's wife that they would be
returning to Australia for the foreseeable future. Troy left Indonesia
about a week and a half ago and Izumi and the children left this last
Monday. According to Izumi, Troy will be not be dealing in
Amorphophallus from Australia.

Certainly not stupid when searching for those near and dear to us,
respecting their field experience and risks. Troy's contributions to the
amorphophallus growers worldwide are recognized and appreciated.

GREAT idea Peter; will report on positive results...Christian

Folks, I guess I may have to lift some of the mystery here. Just before Troy
left for a longer expedition, he and I discussed the intricacies of having
the correct official papers to collect and sell Indonesian plants. It turned
out that Troy is uncertain if he has the full set and decided to close down
his operations untill he is certain or has completed his set. So no
disaster, just probably a temporary situation.

Cheerio,
Wilbert
