two Amorph. titanum flowering in Sydney
From: Eugene Hoh eugene_hoh at yahoo.com.au> on 2006.11.01 at 19:32:48(14783)
hi everyone,

I just saw the story in the Sydney Morning Herald -
two of the A. titanum at the Royal Botanic Gardens
Sydney are coming into bloom. To quote the Herald: 'In
an extraordinarily rare event, two "huge deformed
penises" are about to burst open, drawing thousands of
spectators to watch - and sniff...'

Apparently... they're expected to open about a week
apart, a cross-pollination will be attempted, and
they'll be on display over the next couple of weeks or
so.
