Philodendron nangaritense Croat and Philodendron renauxii Reitz
From: "ExoticRainforest" <Steve at ExoticRainforest.com> on 2007.05.03 at 13:59:43(15623)
I'm trying without much success to locate information
regarding two philodendron species. The info will be eventually used for
the philodendron book I've long been working on as well as the Exotic Rainforest
website. If any of you have good information on either I'd love to hear
from you! Copies of the original botanical descriptions would be much
appreciated!

Philodendron renauxii Reitz
A Brazilian species

Philodendron nangaritense Croat
An Ecuadorian species

I've found a little about P. nangaritense but
virtually nothing regarding P. renauxii.

Thanks!

Thanks for the help with Philodendron
renauxii Reitz and Philodendron nangaritense
Croat. Anna Haigh was able to provide me with a copy of the scientific
description for P. renauxii. For those of you who have never seen
Philodendron nangaritense I have included the link to this newly
described species. Due to it's bright red petioles which are covered with
tubercules I've got a feeling this one will become a sought after specimen in
aroid collections. As soon as Dr. Croat returns I hope to get even more
information.

I hope to have P. renauxii from Brazil posted in
a few days.
