This is just some thoughts I have had on this group. I have been trying
to breed with Colocasia illustrius for sometime it seems to me to be
sterile. It rarely if ever produces pollen and the female section seems
to never fully develop. Could this be a affinis X esculenta hybrid?
Possibly a natural hybrid? As for bicolor the few pics I have seen
almost look like fallax X affinis hybrids that is unless what I have
seen is that hybrid and I have not actually seen the true species. I am
sure I could be wrong on this but it has crossed my mind more than a few
times.
