I keep one Anthurium gracile in a terrarium mounted on a natural looking foam background. So it is growing completely epiphytically. It, after 3 months is finally beginning to grow roots to attach itself to the background and is putting out inflorescences on a regular basis. I have some seedlings that have been growing extremely slowly on a piece of drift wood in the same terrarium, but these are attached to the wood and would most likely die if detached. Overall the plant is very hardy. Just keep it moist. Use sphagnum bark mix if kept in a pot.
