  KONJAC FROM FLOWER TO FOLIAGE
From: hostas at fuse.net (hostas at fuse.net) on 2008.01.26 at 14:59:21(16989)
My house is filled with amorphophallus flowering! (stinky!) I am cutting them off. Do I need to add any water? I usually just leave them alone, but wondered if this was the right procedure.

Dont cut them, Enjoy the strange beauty! Just burn lots of incense. The flowers are the only reason to grow these guys.

I cut them off every year. The influorescence is boring after about the second year. The petiole and leaf canopy are the only reason I still grow this genus :o) Dan

I think it is high time the moderators think about a few good reasons to
expel people from this forum. I vote for:

- cutting off Amorphophallus inflorescences
- remarks to the effect that Amorphophallus is only good for its leaves and
otherwise not worhy of collecting

These are downright insults.

Since amorphs are primarily pigfood, it throws a suspicious light on them
already.......
