  Philodendrun ID please
From: crogers at ecoanalysts.com (Christopher Rogers) on 2008.07.25 at 08:04:42(18238)

Hello, all!

Does anyone have any idea on the identity of this Philodendrun? This is
another plant that I grew from a cutting from the local University
collections.

Thanks in advance,

Christopher

Hi Chris, and others,

If you send pictures to the discussion group, please reduce them in size so
they won't clog up email boxes. This message was 11 MB, which is overdoing
it a little................

Thanks,
Wilbert

Dear Christopher,

Aloha.

This is Philodendron pedatum...as it matures further, the blades will morph further...and the form is affected by light levels. Philodendron pedatum is in the subgenus, Philodendron. Take a look at Steve Lucas' website on this species.

It would also be instructive to compare the leaf blades of this species superficially, with Philodendron squamiferum...but notice that the petioles of Philodendron squamiferum are covered with colored hairs.

Aloha,

Leland

Hi,

Looks like Ph. pedatum = Ph. laciniatum
