  Philodendron identification
From: solene.moutardier at free.fr (=?iso-8859-1?Q?Sol=E8ne?=) on 2008.08.08 at 13:12:55(18347)
Hello,

My name is Sol?ne and I'm the gardener in Jardin des serres d?Auteuil within
the botanical garden in the city of Paris in France. I am responsible for
collections Philodendron, Monstera and Marantaceae.
I registered for several weeks on the forum and I find it very interesting!
I would therefore ask you to help identify a philodendron. It gave me under
the name Philodendron variifolium, but after verification, the name is not
correct.

Dear Sol?ne:

This sure looks to me like P. hederaceum (Jacq.) Schott or a form of it. Where is your garden located in Paris. I know only the main Jardin Botanique near the Gard d'Austrilitz. I am flying to Europe tomorrow and will be in Paris at least briefly at the end of August. I will be giving a lecture in French in Nancy on Aug. 27th so if you could come to Nancy it would be good to meet you.

Tom
