Dracontium amazon. virus?

Dear Dracontium freaks,
My friend Wilbert says that the varigation (white markings on the leaf blades) in several species in the genus Dracontiom is not a virus, that the plants will often ''grow out'' of the varigation. Wilbert has had many years of growing and observing this genus, MUCH more time than I, so I think that he most probably is correct on this.
