Marek, have you tried the larger ''fancy'' Plecostomus on your stringy brown algae? It's what zebra Plecos eat in their normal habitats here.... Then, when they get too big for your tank, *you* can eat *them*.

Hi Marek,

I just heard yesterday that snails will clean a backyard pond of algea
and I imagine they would do the same inside.
Ask your aquarium dealer about which sort would be best.
