Amorphophallus muelleri Bl.

I really do not understand why there would be a problem distinguishing this one from A. bulbifer. The petiole pattern appears quite different to me from all the bulbifers I have...

Upon examination of the buried bulbil, I found that it has been planted upside down, so the emerging petiole (the thick one) had to make a U-turn...
Top view of the first set of leaves. They are very nice shade of deep green, but there is no trace of the magenta leaf edges this species is supposed to have.
The first leaf from a 1.5 inch bulbil indicates that this species is quite more vigorous than A. bulbifer. It shot up to 2.5 ft height.
