Website Transition Update, April 25, 2025
Our website address, aroid.org, isn’t changing — but everything else is getting an upgrade!  We're excited to share a fresh new look, and improved features designed with our members in mind.

Please note that all online PayPal transactions are now closed while we complete the website migration. The PayPal system must be shut down during this time to enable the migration without bugs or crashes. This also prevents anyone from being charged twice--once by the old payment system and again by the new system.  Once the new site is live, you’ll be able to use the JOIN link to reinstate your membership.

If you need help with this process, feel free to reach out at membership@aroid.org— we're happy to assist.

We truly appreciate your patience during this brief downtime. The upgraded website will offer easier navigation, simpler renewals, and new tools to enhance your membership experience.

Keep an eye on your email and our social media for launch updates—and as always:

Happy growing!

the spathe and spadix of the Titan Arum by Kandis Elliot.

What is an Aroid?

Aroid is the common name for members of the Araceae family of plants, sometimes known as the Philodendron or Arum family. The occasionally beautiful and often bizarre combination of spathe and spadix called the inflorescence, sometimes referred to as a "flower", is a distinguishing feature of all aroids.
