Dear,
I'm looking for the egg cell of Spathiphyllum, but for some unknown
reason it can't find it.
Is there someone who has experience with ovules of Araceae? Or, where
can I find information?

Dear Claire,
There are great illustrations of all you need on Page 108 of 'The Genera of
Araceae' by S J Mayo, J Bogner and P C Boyce, ISBN I 900347 22 9
You will see that there are divisions on the spadix, and every one of these
'divisions' (which is an immature fruit called a gynoecium) contains two
chambers which are locules, and each locule contains one ovule. Hope this
is of help.
Sincerely,
Julius

Be certain to use non-cultivar material. Many Spathiphyllum cultivars are
sterile through extensive hybdridisation and who knows, eggcell-distortion
may be one of the reasons!
In general never use cultivars for studies unless the studies have a
horticultural goal that allows the results of the studies to explain
phenomena in a horticultural context.
