I don't know what your soil is like but my konjacs like to be deep (over a
foot down) in very rich, moisture holding, but still loose and friable
soil. Mine is composted manure and leaf mulch worked into a sandy base. Try
digging some up when dormant, and when showing renewed growth, place at the
bottom of a very large pot (new tubers form on top of old ones) with this
soil, or at the bottom of a deep hole and cover over with this. Fertilize
the hell out of them as the shoots arise and fill out. All my Amorphs (and
Typhonium) don't show leaves till late June/early July, though they may
bloom earlier, and are usually killed down by frost late October.
