My Typhonium venosum also died in the ground, and
Arisaema candidissimum, too.
What survived - Arisaema amurense, A. flavum. A.
jacquemontii, Arum maculatum, Arum italicum, Peltandra virginica and
Lysichiton americanus.

Marek, perhaps you have much more continental climate,
than the others. I know now, that USDA Hardinbess zone does not calculate in
the continentality, the humidity etc.
One of my friends were in Sweden and in Grece. We know,
that there are bigger frosts in Sweden, but she was in a pullover in -8?C,
in Hungary when the temperature is about -10?C we usally weare thick
jackets. The same is with Grece, tere are big heatwaves, and the people do
not have problems as here in Hungary. If you travel to Russia the climat is
more continental and the weather is more untoleratable.
I live in Z5a, and I've heared, that Typhonium venosum is
hardy here, but did not survived here, even in sheltered place, in sandy
soil with winter protection...
So USDA Plant Hardiness Zones are really just indications,
and plants perhaps survive
