RE: [Aroid-l] Monstera obliqua and Culcasia questions
From: "Tom Croat" <Thomas.Croat at mobot.org> on 2007.03.27 at 19:08:27(15496)|
The name Monstera obliqua Miq. is definitely a good species
but it is a highly variable one that may ultimately have to be divided up. I do
not agree with Mike Madison's full synonymy for example. There are three
subspecies of M. adansonii but it is another species that probably will end up
much changed with a new revision.

Monstera obliqua and Culcasia questionsIs this name still "good" or is this now considered another form
of M. adansonii. How many forms of this plant species are
there?Also...anyone growing any Culcasia species? I have a few
species and would love to trade if anyone has anything different. They
seem to be easy to grow but are still not seen very often.
