  [Aroid-l] Amophophallus titanum tuber problem
From: StroWi at t-online.de (StroWi at t-online.de) on 2008.04.02 at 13:05:21(17290)

Aroiders,

now that the (winter) dormancy of my Amorphophallus titanum tubers is
over I find many tubers in a state illustraded in the attached pictures.

The tubers are growing buds and roots already.
At a closer inspection the tubers felt sort of soft and the (what I
would call) outer "suberized" layer of the tuber could easily be peeled
of. The tuber tissue that could be seen then was not slushy/slobbery but
at the most slightly moist.
There are no larvae or insects on or in the tuber.

Has anyone observed something like this, too?
Could anyone suggest what to to with the tubers?
Do they need a special treatment or shall they just be potted and see
what happens?
