I want to thank those of you who responded to my request for assistance with A, scherzerianum. I have two coming and I will grow them differently to see how they respond. I'm going to pot the first in pure redwood bark chips and the second in a lava rock sphagnum mix. As I live in Birmingham, Alabama and do not have a greenhouse or evaporative cooling system I'll grow them indoors so they won't be subjected to the 100 degree summer temperatures. There's not much I can do about giving them an overnight temperature drop.
If I have any success I'll report it so that others may enjoy this plant if they so desire.
