They often do so, when a plant stays too long; if they reduce it to 25 %, it is probably easier to get it that way instead of ordering it from the US - I am located in Lower Saxony, Germany...... Awesome opportunity to grow this way cool aroid. P. goeldii makes a great houseplant or is great grown outside in the garden. Should be able to grow outside unprotected up to zone 9 once mature. Looks more like a sheffelera than a philodendron. The plants we have right now have about 6" long leaves, and are about 12-14" tall.
