I had to scroll down through the thread a bit, but then I came to someone called plantladylin, who wrote, "Wow, that is a really beautiful plant!!! According to the Catalogue of Life there is no Monstera species karstenianum or Monstera species peru but upon doing a bit of research, I found the correct name for it is Monstera siltepecana "The following comes from this page at The Exotic Rainforest website: https://www.exoticrainforest.c... "Monstera siltepecana: Sometimes sold incorrectly as Monstera pinnatipartita, "Monstera karstenianum", Monstera dobsoniana (invalid names) and other names including Philodendron karsteniana which is also an invalid name never published to science."" ...which brings us right back around to our own membership, I think... CAn anyone verify these names 1, borsigiana either as a species or subspecies of M. deliciosa ? It is tossed around as if it were associated with some dwarf growing plant form. 2. M. karstenianum AKA Monstera ?Ex Peru?. This looks very unlike a Monstera species. Does anyone know if it is valid or what it might refer to specifically? Thanks and appreciate any input. Jim W.
