  The Philodendron Phreaque
From: "Michael W. McCaffery" <mwm at GNV.IFAS.UFL.EDU> on 1999.07.03 at 01:34:12(3484)
Dear Aroid-L Members,

I was able to visit Dewey Fisk's "The Philodendron Phreaque" last weekend
and found it to be very much worth the trip. Dewey has an great collection
of Anthurium, Alocasia, Amorphophallus and, of course, Philodendron
species. A few other interesting genera (not all aroids) were present as
well. While not all inclusive, there is ALOT to see at one stop. For
anyone planning to visit the Miami area, Dewey's collection should
definitely be on the itinerary. The only drawback is that you can buy
plants...lots of plants.

I am wondering if it would be worthwhile to set up a link on the IAS
homepage for nursery reviews, especially mail order experiences. Litigation
may be a concern. Comments anyone?
