Some do not get bit quite so hard and find in time that the care and feeding of the children is quite a chore that at times is overwhelming. Dewey, you have been there and I sure am there. That does not mean that one does not love them or want them, just a major reality check that a thousand plants is quite a chore to tend what with heat and then there comes the cold and all that brings. There is no end. Very much like children but they grow up and leave. I think it is a bit harsh to hit David that way. A bit of compassion and gratitude for all those years of his generosity and kindness might just be in order, say nothing of understanding. Say nothing about the wonderful chatty Newsletters he put out even when his shoulder was killing him after the earthquake. Perhaps those of us who remember, might take a lesson or two from a dear friend. +More Betsy Feuerstein
