Cyclone Steve created havoc down south in Cairns and up on the
Tablelands, luckily it stayed peacful as usual here in the Whyanbeel
Valley, just rain, rain and more rain.last 24 hrs Bmm, monthly total nearly
700mm [over 2 feet ].
But as I was told when I first visited Daintree National Park " you can't
have a rainforest without lots of rain"
Many Philodendrons are flowering, and have had seed set on some Alocasia
spp, much larger this year is the infloresence of Dracontium pittieri, its way
over my head,and I am 2m tall !
