One of the orchid people out of Ecuador (Ecuagenera) has been marketing a few of them at big orchid shows around the US for a couple of years now. They are apparently from very high elevation and tolerate little warmth. The owner of Ecuagenera is a personal friend of mine and they have trouble growing it well in Cuenca (intermediate temperatures, southern Ecuador). It evidently does much better in Quito and at higher elevations.
