I'm not aware of this, all my information indicates they have been and are 2 distinct species. Anyone? +More I doubt if selloum could survive 7B or further north without extraordinary measures. Perhaps massive mulching of the root zone, some of the cold protective 'fleeces' and other materials could save a portion of the bottom of the plant to come back the following year. All bets would be off with exceptionally severe winters. Russ.
