Government price supports for the sugar industry has probably caused more damage to the glades than any and all exotic/invasive species. Because of the higher price of sugar in the US, many candy manufacturers are moving offshore to lower their material cost. And, we get to pay for the attempt to fix the problem. Your tax dollars at work.
