Rhynchopyle: Borneo’s Streamside Aroids

Rhynchopyle is a small genus of rheophytic aroids first described by Engler in 1880, notable for its slender inflorescences and adaptations to fast-flowing streams. All known species are endemic to the island of Borneo, where they inhabit wet tropical biomes along riverbanks and waterfall spray zones.
