Cercestis: African Climbing Aroids

Cercestis is a genus of about 10 obligate climbing aroids native to tropical West and Central Africa from Senegal through Uganda and Angola. Members produce long, leafless flagella at regular intervals along the stem and often develop fenestrated foliage, making them both intriguing for beginners and rewarding for dedicated aroid enthusiasts.
