Furtadoa: Malesian Creeper Aroids

Furtadoa is a small genus of Araceae native to western Malesia, comprising two species with creeping stems that root at their nodes and leathery elliptical leaves. Its inflorescences bear unconstricted spathes atop long peduncles and feature a unique spadix structure in which each fertile flower is accompanied by a sterile counterpart.
