Lazarum: The Resurrected Tuberous Aroid

Lazarum is a small genus of tuberous, geophytic aroids native to southern New Guinea and northern and eastern Australia. Resurrected from synonymy in 2022 following molecular phylogenetic analyses, it comprises species formerly placed in Typhonium and is distinguished by its tubular spathe with an internal septum separating male and female zones.
